Drawing a Day: RSM Day 15

sledding

Dad and the kids go Sledding

We had the pleasure of two snow days off this week thanks to Snowmageddon (which while delivering a good bit of snow was mostly ice for us, and therefore far more dangerous). I spent most of my time home playing with the kids and doing very little drawing. That was until Dad took them outside for a few minutes to go sledding down a hill in our yard. The hill was covered in snow, then in ice, then in more snow. It was a perfect, slick surface for little sub 50 pound kids to just come screaming down. The temps were around 20 degrees F so I didn’t let them stay out that long before calling everyone in to thaw out before dinner. While they were outside, I stood in the kitchen and drew the following sketch. It was very quick, but at least I made time to “draw.”

Done on my iPhone (yes that tiny little screen) using the Brushes app.

Enjoy

About rocketsciencemom
I am a rocket scientist in my day job, and a mother of two all the time. I'm a pop culture addict and amateur artist in my spare time. My typical preferences tend toward sci-fi and fantasy genres but I love a good drama or comedy. Reading the blogs of fellow Lost fans over the years has motivated me to finally write my own. In addition to starting this blog, I have been writing for the parenting blog GNMParents under the name RocketScienceMom (or RSM for short).
